That was a complete waste of time . We are out of the Short quay for good !!!
For tomorrows market in the TEC carpark on the bandon rd , we have some power sockets , and lots of room, We will be able to park vans behind stalls . to get there go through town leaving the Garda station on your right , follow the main rd 200 metres or so and you will see the sandwich board fro the Market.
I am putting up as many signs as I can but a bit short notice . we can discuss our future tomorrow if that is OK as I am bushed after that meeting , Hasta Manana

The week is full of good news !we have been offered an alternative site on private property, which I would ask you all to consider, It is the car park of the permaculture college on the Bandon road . while not as good as where we are , if push comes to shove , literally, I think it might do very nicely . If anybody can have a look at it over thew/end , let me know what you think. At the mo I am still going for the Short Quay , but wont know untill Monday pm.

Hi all, the good newa is that their is no drainage work in the Short Quay untill probably mid November . The less good , but possibly decisive news is that I have a meeting on Monday with the ubquitious Mary Ryan , and the Mayor , plus all the usual suspects , to discuss the Plynth safety issues . As of now I have hade nothing in writing so I am assuming that we are OK to continue in the Short Quay,

The latest little bombshell fron kinsale urban Council is that a Cork co council engineer has ruled that the plinth in the Short Quay is a health and safety issue and that the market therefore should not continue !! We are looking at moving anyway in Sept to facilitate the drainage work , and are aiming for the town Park , which we had got permission for but now the council is prevaricating . I am also trying to get the plinth removed , at the same time as the drainage work .more later
